The LDAV LAB is the local node at the University of Perugia of the national CINI Big Data Laboratory. The CINI Big Data Laboratory, directed by Claudio Agostino Ardagna, aims to become an Italian center of competence for the development of knowledge and technologies in the Big Data and Data Science sectors, read here for more information.

The LDAV LAB is currently coordinated by Fabrizio Montecchiani (Engineering Department).

The main goals of the LDAV lab are:

• Developing high quality research on prominent topics concerning Big Data (see our research areas)
• Promoting and coordinating activities, events, and projects about Big Data
• Providing broad support for industries and companies that need an academic partner to develop Big Data projects
